I've had some amazing conversations with people who inspire me and bring value to my life during the course of this podcast. In these "Best Of" editions, I'm bringing those conversations back to life for your listening pleasure.

The Swiss 8 team of Adrian Sutter and Anthony Meixner start the conversation with the charity's vision for what they wanted to achieve in the coming years.
Swiss 8 is a proactive mental health model designed to provide the tools required to deliver high-quality content around their 8 pillars of health and wellness, to allow you to be "Better At Life."

Simon Moloney then picks up the conversation with his take on what occurred in July 2013 when he was shot in the throat by a Taliban sharp-shooter, and goes on to describe the events that took place which saw him awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross by Her Majesty The Queen.

Wes Masters and I then discuss these same events from his perspective, with him being the medic on the ground that covered hundreds of metres of dangerous terrain to come to the aid of Si, with his actions being recognised with Wes being awarded the Military Cross by Her Majesty The Queen.

Next up, Paul Minter talks to me about his experience dealing with the aftermath of numerous combat deployments to Afghanistan, including suicidal thoughts, and crippling PTSD, anxiety, and depression. We discuss the tools and strategies he used to start managing his mind, which led to him starting the mental health charity, Head-Up Charity in the UK.

"I shouldn’t be in the position I am right now."

The odds were stacked against me:

● Poor family on welfare, eldest of 6 kids, parents didn’t work, abusive step-dad, no electricity or running water for a 6 years period of my life

● Caught up with the wrong crowd, stealing, drugs, skipping school

● At 14 years old, I sat on a bus for 3 days with $50 in my pocket, to travel to the next State over West, to begin a new life in the workforce - 2000

14 - 20: I grew up and learned how to become a man through work and rugby
20 - 26: I lived, trained and fought as a professional soldier, at a high level
26 - 32: I became a personal trainer, after failing in my pursuit to become a firefighter
32 - 38: I worked with, and won world titles with some of the best athletes on the planet, as their strength and conditioning coach
38+: The next evolution begins
